My dad is a geologist, so although my family likes to poke fun at my Dad (my parents’ attic is full of boxes of rocks), stories about geology do grab my attention. And this story by New Scientist is a very big geology story: old rocks might be much, much older!
I know, I know. I can hear the yawning from here. But correctly determining the age of rocks is important, not only for learning how our planet was made, but also other celestial bodies. Making sure our measurements are accurate is a valuable thing. Alright, alright. I’m done. I’ll get back to much cooler things next time.
