The first cool thing is a video of 2 cello players performing ACDC’s “Thunderstruck.” It’s a very impressive performance–my hands cramped a bit just watching. And every time I hear this song, it makes me sad the Washington Nationals ditched it as their opening number. Anyway, here it is.
The second is an article about an Australian firm that has invented a new set of armor that would allow MMA fighters to use weapons (HT: Myke Cole). As cool as that is, the detail I really liked is that the armor includes sensors that would allow for real-time display of the “damage” the fighters would take from the strikes. In other words, it’s the first step toward the armor in the Ender’s Game Battle room.
