The official trailer for The Hobbit has been released! Check it out below.
I’m glad many of the original cast and crew of The Lord of the Rings movies were able to work on The Hobbit, giving it a nice sense of continuity. But the trailer itself does look a little dark. Then again, given not only the ending of The Hobbit, but also what comes later in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, perhaps that is to be expected. Additionally, I can’t quite tell where part one will leave off and part two will begin (yep, The Hobbit will be two films, in case you hadn’t heard).
But these are very small quibbles. I can’t wait to see this! I’m sure it will be just as beautiful, richly detailed, and engaging as The Lord of the Rings movies.
