Can’t wait for season 3 of The Walking Dead? Were you upset with season 2 for hanging out at the farm for too long, with little action to show for it? Are you hoping for the show to take a dark, violent turn? Well, get ready for season 3. TV Guide posted an interview (spoiler alert) with comic writer Robert Kirkman and showrunner Glen Mazzara.
Season 3 will be split between the prison and a town called Woodbury. The introduction of characters like Michonne and the Governor will show how beastly man can become when the world falls apart. If you are a fan of the comics, you know exactly why the introduction of these two characters will be amazing and dark and bloody. And if you’re not a fan of the comics, well, buckle up.
Also, The Walking Dead will do a lot of stuff at Comic Con, including announcing the season 3 premiere date (most likely sometime this fall) and showing a season 3 trailer. AMC will also run a marathon of seasons 1 and 2, capped off with a special episode of The Talking Dead, as detailed online here.
I’m a fan of The Walking Dead. Yes, I know the show has had some problems, but I keep tuning in. And I’m usually happy I did. But as they say in that TV Guide piece, the problems many had with season 2 of The Walking Dead will be addressed in season 3. So get ready. This is going to be one helluva season.
