MIT’s Technology Review’s Take on “What if…”

I hope by now you’ve been able to check out a few of my “What if” posts. The idea has been to discuss a cool idea, usually a new piece of technology, and think about what sort of story ideas it might spark. Well, it seems like the folks at MIT’s Technology Review had similar ideas. They have put out a special, one-time issue of science fiction that’s inspired by “today’s emerging technologies.” As io9.com reports, “Contributors range from Cory Doctorow and Elizabeth Bear, to Ken MacLeod, Pat Cadigan, and Tobias Buckell. And it’s packed with gorgeous art from Chris Foss.” That’s quite the lineup. It’s at newsstands now, or you can order it online here for $7.95.
