Yesterday, due to travel and other holiday-related business, my wife and I were finally able to meet up with some family to have some lunch and exchange a few Christmas presents. The real focus was the meal, so it wasn’t until we were back home that we opened our presents. Scotch decided to help.
What’s strange is that Scotch doesn’t normally tear up paper, or anything for that matter. Scotch’s toys last forever because he doesn’t really chew or tear them. We were surprised to see him do this.
We were even more surprised when he later helped himself to our stack of newspapers, walking off with a section to tear up as well. Who knew an almost nine-year-old dog could pick up a few new tricks?
