Author Events in the DC/Baltimore Area

I haven’t posted any of these in a while, so I’m making up for lost time with two announcements of author signings in the DC/Baltimore area.

The first is tonight (sorry for the short notice) at Politics & Prose in DC. If you head over there tonight at 7pm, you can meet me, I mean, Brad Meltzer, who is touring for his latest book, THE FIFTH ASSASSIN. I know that isn’t sci fi or fantasy, but 1) my wife is a fan, 2) I like a good thriller every now and then (and as a lawyer/history nerd, his are a lot of fun), and 3) I have undying respect for anyone who can write a novel while a student in law school. And besides, he’s written tons of comics, so he shouldn’t be completely foreign to you.

The second, and maybe more up your alley, is an appearance by Brandon Sanderson and Harriet McDougal (as well as audiobook narrators Kate Reading and Michael Kramer) at Book-A-Million in Baltimore as part of the tour for A MEMORY OF LIGHT.

If you are interested in either/both of these books, I highly suggest going. Even if you only get 30 seconds to talk to an author, it’s a very cool thing to say hi and thank you. And I can verify that Politics & Prose puts on great events. Although I haven’t been to Books-A-Million for a signing before, I’m looking forward to it! I hope to see you there!
