A Trifecta of Trailers

The first is a very brief trailer for the Doctor Who Christmas special. The Silence, Trenzalore, and sadly, the end of Matt Smith. I’m sad to see Smith go, but I’m excited to see Peter Capaldi take over, especially if he gets to be angry/snarky like his movie roles.

And second, here’s the trailer for Godzilla. I don’t know. Does this need to be made yet again? It’s like a combination of things that sound/look cool, but are empty–like HALO jumps! With flares! I mean, it has Bryan Cranston and Elizabeth Olsen, but I’m not excited about this one. If I’m going to watch a monster movie, I’d rather watch be-hooked Buster Bluth.

The third is the trailer for Edge of Tomorrow, starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt. Based on the Japanese book, ALL YOU NEED IS KILL (a much better title), this is Starship Troopers meets Groundhog Day. Aliens, power armor, and explosions? What’s not to love? Well, besides that crummy song in the trailer.

What do you think?
